The Raw Egg!

May 11th, 2008

I’ve been meaning to write about this huge project of mine for some time, but I’ve been putting so much energy in to getting this program up and actually running that I haven’t had a moment until now to really sit and divulge the details. But here it is:

I am now officially the Producer/Editor of a new program called, The Raw Egg Radio Podcast. For those of you who love shows like This American Life, StoryCorps, The Bryant Park Project, and most any public radio show then you will love The Raw Egg!

The program is hosted by Richie Brown, a really charismatic individual with a background in college radio. The weekly show features interviews with interesting people who have unique stories to tell. We divide the program in to two segments: Meet Our Guest and Our Guest on the News. Plus, we like to accompany each show with links, photographs, and any other relevant interactive media. We are two episodes in to the show so far, but you can expect new episodes every Sunday afternoon.

As the Producer/Editor for the show my job is to schedule all of the interesting people we interview, facilitate the logistics for each interview [read: set up the sound and equipment], and then mix and edit all the sound for the show in post-production. I’m learning as I go along, but I love the job so far. So much so, that I feel like I could spend entire days working on it. It excites me that much!

I hope that you will check out The Raw Egg, and let me know what you think! You can leave comments here or directly on the website: www.therawegg.com.

Oh, and within the next week or two you will be able to subscribe to the show straight from iTunes!

Happy Listening!!!
