This is vacation?
I need to apologize up front for still not having recorded Albytes! It’s horrible I know! It’s just that yesterday and today have been absolutely bananas. Today, Richie and I finally removed all of the furniture that we had stowed away in our very pricey storage unit. One depressing look at our bank account this week and we knew we had to take care of it. So, tomorrow morning is officially our stoop sale during which we will attempt to get rid of all of it and replenish our savings as much as possible. Let me tell you, having too many possessions is so stressful in this city. I cannot wait for tomorrow when I hope to be done with all of this nonsense of- Do we keep it? Is it worth it? What do we do?! Ugh. It’s an exhausting game. On a good note, amidst today’s hustle and bustle I found time to stop in Manhattan and pick up some songbooks for my possible upcoming Cocoa Bar show with Jon Donnel. I am especially excited because I found a book that contains Malaguena Salerosa. It is the quintessential traditional Spanish piece for guitar and voice. One that will definitely have to be on an Albytes sometime soon. Right now, though, I’m too spent sing. Music will have to wait until tomorrow.
Instead I’m taking my cue from Remy: Time for bed!
