Poolside in LA-LA Land
I’m digging the L.A. sun today. It finally came out which is a lovely change of events. I have a several hours before my first interview for today, so I’m taking advantage of the pristine pool at the hotel and wireless internet to come out and get some much needed work done. The content for KeshiaCrosby.com is coming along so well, I can’t wait for the official launch! Thus, KC.com is one top item on the agenda today. Of course I know what you really want me to talk about- more L.A. Fair enough. Well, aside from the mediocre weather that successfully ended today, the city has been treating me quite well. Or, at least the Casting Directors and Agents that I’ve met so far have treated me well. In all of my interviews up until this point I have been told that I would likely find lots of work out here. Wow. Is this lipservice? At any rate, I’m at a point where I am seriously considering making the move. It couldn’t happen until at least next summer since Richie has school, and we have a lease, and we have so many projects hanging in the balance there. I’m not a person who typically fears change, so I’m definitely not against the change of scenery. However, my one reservation in regards to a move lies in the relationships I’ve cultivated in NY. I have spent so much time making connections and creating projects with other artists/musicians/designers/actors/directors that I wonder- what happens to all of that work if I make a move? Of course, part of me says- space cannot halt those projects. After all, we live in world where technology has us constantly linked to one another, right?
Ah well, so much think about. Right now, all I can say is that the reflection from the pool next to me is mesmerizing. I think I hear it whispering, “Don’t think too much, Alba. Just relax….”
