A Long, Long Time Ago…
…I can still remember the last time I wrote in my blog… haha. I’m making light of the situation I guess. The last three days have been an emotional roller coaster and rather than write my way through them, I sat back and just let them overwhelm me. Not good practice! Today I am making a concerted effort to get back on the horse. Basically, in the last two weeks I’ve been in the final round for about five projects- none of which I’ve heard back from. 
Well, I’m used to the ups and downs I guess, but this time I let them get the best of me. I rode the highs of these call backs and the positive things people were telling me so much so that when the huge emptiness followed…well, I crumbled. I let it throw me off. That’s the danger you see. It’s not that you mourn their disappearance, but that you abandon all the other projects that you were trying to generate as a result. That’s when you reach the end of the line and that is bad. Therefore, I’m trying to get myself to restart all the personal projects I had put on hold to audition for these other prospects. Thus, with all that behind me I am rebooting today. I’m restarting editing of Alicia in the Wonderland and I’m thinking of talking to Josh about extending it into a feature length which I think will please him. I’m going to work on Daler Productions preparations. And, I am going to follow up on contacting some musicians that I’ve been interested in working with. Oh, and by the way, I just rediscovered a jazz singer, Jessica Elbert, that I went to college with. I remember her from when she sang with the Mosaic Whispers A Capella group. She’s got a great voice and we had the same voice coach- Lisa Campbell Albert. I noticed she has some shows coming up next week and I am going to go to one. I’ve decided that seeing live music is the one thing I can almost always count on lift me up!
